Serve your community by volunteering.

If you live in our district and are looking for a way to serve your community, please consider joining our agency as a volunteer firefighter, alongside the approximately 30 volunteers who currently work with our department. We’ll train you to be response-ready in about three months.

Most of our volunteers attend at least two trainings per month, although there can be exceptions as long as a clear path to successful completion is presented. You must pass a background check, hold a valid Colorado driver’s license, and XYZ.

Within the first year of training, we expect new recruits to obtain a CPR certification; complete three online courses; and complete either Wildland Academy (S-130/190), EMR/ EMT, and/ or Structure Academy (FF1).
